Nestled among the rolling hills of Valpolicella, Ca dei Maghi stands as a testament to the artistry of winemaking, crafting only the finest wines in limited quantities. While its roots trace back to the 1950s, it wasn’t until Paolo Creazzi assumed leadership in 2011 that the estate soared from ‘good’ to truly outstanding. Embracing tradition while daring to innovate, Creazzi consistently strives for excellence, exemplified in his commitment to showcasing classical Valpolicella at its pinnacle while also venturing into new territories with a select range of IGT wines.

Hand-harvested grapes, picked in the second week of October, undergo a meticulous process, culminating in a wine of unparalleled depth and character. After fermentation in steel tanks, the wine matures for five years, first in large oak barrels, then in steel tanks, until it reaches perfection in the bottle.

In the glass, this Amarone reveals an intense red hue, with aromas of ripe red cherry and subtle sweet spices that captivate the senses. Full-bodied and luxuriously textured, it boasts bold tannins and a lingering, elegant finish. Pair it with aged cheese or hearty red meats; a succulent roast beef would be an ideal match. This classic Amarone is a harmonious blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, showcasing the timeless allure of Valpolicella’s winemaking heritage.
