Logodaj Winery is situated in the heart of the picturesque Struma River valley in Southwestern Bulgaria. Their vineyards are located near the village of General Todorov, in the center of the Petrich-Sandanski valley, between the town of Melnik and the ancient city of Heraclea Sintica. Established in 1994, the winery aims to produce harmonious, multi-layered, and complex wines with rich, pronounced fruitiness, focusing on the indigenous grape varieties of the Struma Valley. Their practices are guided by the nature of each vintage, with hand-harvesting only when the grapes are fully ripe and fermenting grapes from individual vineyards separately to respect and highlight the unique terroir.

Style: Full flavoured & Robust

Grape Varieties: Melnik 55 (Early Melnik Vine)

Ageing: 12 months in French oak barrels

Tasting Notes: Medium to full bodied with a dark ruby colour and aromas of black cherries and berries, sweet spices and vanilla. The finish is soft and long with hints of black pepper and tobacco.

Food Match: Red meat dishes, charcuterie and hard cheeses

Alcohol – 14% ABV
